Buy or Bye: Mom Frida Postpartum Products

I have purchased just about every product Frida has. As a first time mom who knew literally nothing about babies, Frida products were my go to for all products because they have something for EVERYTHING when it comes to mom and baby.

Postpartum 2-1 Ice Pads: These were way better than the hospital pads. They lasted longer and had extra air in them which helped with sitting the first few days postpartum. Only downside is there isn’t that many in a pack.

Overall: Buy

The Frida Mom Upside Down Peri Bottle for Postpartum Care is one I wanted to hate because they give you one in the hospital but the angle makes cleansing so much easier.

Overall: Buy

Abdominal Binder: Disclaimer – I did not have a c-section but this band is marketed as postpartum support for both vaginal and c-section moms* For me I wore this maybe 5 times so I can not say anything to the efficacy of it but as far as fit it would ride up upon wearing and show through clothing. If you have a c-section the hospital will provide you with an adequate binder.

Overall: BYE

Disposable Underwear: Comfier and nicer than the hospital ones that were provided.

Overall: Buy

Cooling Foam: You are going to want the relief in any and every form you can. This helps with cooling, itching and pain.

Overall: Buy

Witch Hazel Cooling Pad Liners: Now I may be alone in this one because this is one of their highest rated postpartum items but these pads did NOT do it for me. I found they bunched up and did not get the hype… This being said I did use the entire pack anyway..

Overall: Buyishh

Frida Mom Labor Gown: I know everyone wants to wear something other than the hospital gown provided but you are going have blood, sweat, tears (and maybe poop) going on in labor. Trust me when its over you will want to just toss that gown and never see it again. Use the hospital gown.

Overall: Bye

Final thoughts: BUY the Frida Mom Kit has all of the essentials at a better price and skips the fluff you don’t need (and maybe an extra pack of ice pack pads). First goal is to get as much as you can from your hospital because you go through the kit pretty fast but it was nice to have for back-ups all in one place and not have to worry about running out and getting several separate things with a newborn.
